If
you are looking for a good French restaurant in Ruhr Area (Ruhrgebiet),
this is a good one. We got to know about this restaurant from a wine
advisor in Wein Zeche (wine handler in Essen). The owner as well as
the chef is a qualified sommelier. Thomas Friedrich, a German who
has many years of experience as cook in France. We ordered without
looking at the menu, just ask the chef what is fresh in his kitchen
and take his recommendation. On top of that, we had also the suitable
wine to go with our food. What we have eaten that day, the smooth
and great taste is still lingering in our mouths. The food portion
is very French, you would eat quality but not quantity, however it
is enough and stomach filled. The price is pretty high, for two persons
our bill came out to about €100. Anyway, we have starter, main course,
dessert, coffee and wine. So, it is ok for a French delicacy. |

Anyone out there
who is craving for Singapore leckerei? Then you should drop-by Ginger.
Ginger has some very "fast and easy" rice and noodle dishes for "kleiner
Hunger" and some real good Singapore dishes specially prepared by
the boss cum Chef (Robert) which required pre order at least one day
before. Very much recommended by us are Robert's Peking duck, Redang
Kalio and his curry. Ginger is a small but cosy restaurant. However
it has space enough for our 20-people-gathering. Not only that, it
has also a prefect location, at Essen city centre. |
